General Information

Center 375 is home to the Vernon Teen Center, Summer Camp, Dance classes and Adult Fitness classes.The facility is a perfect place to have a meeting, birthday party, shower or family gathering. The community room is a large multipurpose room that holds up to 75 people with a pool table, air hockey, arcade games, folding tables and chairs (available upon request) and booth style seating. The gymnasium has a full basketball court with 2 hoops,. Community pool is open late June through mid August. Lastly, community field is located behind Center 375 and utilized for softball leagues. 


General Policies for use of the Parks & Recreation property
  • Parks are open to the general public for use on a first come, first serve basis, UNLESS the area is reserved.
  • Parks open at dawn, or when security gates are open
  • Parks close at dusk, except for the following:
    • When planned activities are scheduled
    • Lighted facilities including, Tennis, Softball or Basketball- April 1st to November 30th
  • Pets must be on a leash
  • No dogs in pools, lakes, or playgrounds
  • Owners are responsible for pets when they defecate
  • No alcoholic beverages, permitted on any Town of Vernon property
  • No inflatable (bounce houses) permitted on Parks and Recreation property
  • The following activities are prohibited on Parks and Recreation Property
    • Parking or driving on the grass and overnight parking
    • Repairs to automobiles (changing oil, radiator fluid repairs, etc.)
    • Metal detectors
    • Flying of drones or model airplanes, unless special permission from the Director of Parks and Recreation is given
    • Archery or dart practice
    • Golf playing or driving golf balls
    • Public dumping of off-site trash
    • Riding an unregister motorized vehicle including mini-bikes, motor bikes, ATV’s and go-carts
    • Lighting of fireworks

Fee Schedule
Community Room
$35 per hour (minimum of 2 hour rental) for residents
$45 per hour (minimum of 2 hours) for non-residents

Gymnasium
$50 per hour (minimum of 2 hour rental) for residents
$60 per hour (minimum of 2 hours) for non-residents
*Renter responsible for bringing their own gym equipment (balls, cones, etc.)

*Your reservation must include set-up and clean up time. 
*Renters are responsible for cleaning up.
*At the end of your rental time, put chairs and tables back into the storage closet, sweep/clean the general area and remove your trash. The staff member will check the condition of the premises upon your exit.

  • Full reservation fee is due at time of rental. Reservation is not confirmed until full payment is received
  • There is a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations made with 30 days or more notice will receive a refund minus the cancellation fee.  Cancellations made with 29 or fewer days notice will not receive a refund.
  • Rental time must include set-up and clean-up
  • Access to electricity, running water, and bathroom facilities must be requested at the time of rental
  • When a rental includes park bathroom use, the general public is also allowed to use the bathroom facilities when the park is open to the public
  • Renters are expected to leave their space clean after use, with trash placed in proper receptacles, grill fires completely extinguished, and any appliances turned off
