Activity Refund Policy


Effective 8/30/17
Refund will be granted as follows:
  • Full refunds will only be give under the following circumstances:
    • The activity is cancelled by Vernon Parks & Recreation

  • A refund minus a 25% cancellation fee will be issued under the following circumstances:
    • A written cancellation request is submitted to the department two weeks prior to the start of the activity/event. Written requests can be submitted via e-mail to parksandrec@vernon-ct.gov

  • A refund, pro-rated for missed days, will be issued under the following circumstances:
    • An absence from the activity with a doctor's note provided to the Parks & Recreation Office within two weeks of the absence


You may receive your refund in one of two ways:
  1. A credit on your account at Vernon Parks & Recreation, which will remain indefinitely and may be used towards any future activities with the department
  2. A refund check sent to the address on file in your account.  Checks will only be issued at the end of a program's full duration.  Checks are processed through Town Hall and generally take 4-6 weeks to arrive
