SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY, MARCH 4
Participants will have the opportunity to hang out with peers, spend time outdoors, participate in group activities, swim, and go on two exciting field trips per week in a safe, supervised environment.
Field Trips: Information about field trips will be released closer to the summer. Examples of trips from previous years include Yard Goats stadium, Urban Air Adventure Park, Veteran's Memorial Pool, Bowling & Arcade, Lake Compounce, etc. We will be adding new offerings for trips this summer! On field trip days, all participants present at camp must attend the trip and cannot remain behind at the main camp location.
Location: Henry Park, 120 South Street
Ages: 13-15
Camp Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm, Tuesday - Thursday
Payment Options:
Registering by May 19: Balance may be paid in full, or a 50% deposit may be made to hold a spot. All remaining balances are due in full by Monday, June 2nd or your registration will be cancelled
Registering after May 19: Full balance is due at the time of registration. No spots are held without payment.
If you are interested in applying for a camp scholarship, please contact the Vernon Social Services Department beginning February 20th at (860) 870-3661 to set up an appointment for eligibility screening. Securing a scholarship does not automatically hold a spot in the camp program; registration & payment must still be completed through the Vernon Parks & Recreation Office.
PLEASE NOTE:
*If your participant is attending the Vernon Summer Learning Program through Vernon Public Schools, hours may conflict with scheduled field trips
*Minimum enrollment must be met by May 1 in order for each session to run
